Essaouira, «Mogador» city of the sun and the sea, remains a privileged Moroccan destination and coveted by tourists from all over the world. This mysterious city offers a marriage of colors, architecture and cultures that make it one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco. You can visit it all year round. 4 days are enough to soak up the atmosphere of the city but you can also extend your stay by hiking on the coast or walking on the beaches.
Upon your arrival at Essaouira-Mogador Airport, you will be transferred straight away to your way of stay. During the ride, you’ll notice that the city has this little something that captivates and charms the traveler; it offers that serenity that you have been looking for. You’ll profit from the rest of the day to cast away all the fatigue you have been through during the flight and prepare yourself for the next day.
After having breakfast, you will visit the old port of Essaouira, where you will see the small blue boats of the fishermen forming a sublime and unique panorama. Enjoy a walk along the beach and a seafood lunch before leaving the port for the old medina of Essaouira. You will have free time or a guided tour to explore the labyrinthine of the medina, its traditional stalls and souks in order to appreciate the artisans who are making beautiful wooden objects. Your driver will then take you to visit the ramparts of Scala, the gates and fortifications of the city. In the evening, depending on your preference, you may have dinner at the hotel or at a restaurant. Subsequently, you will admire the beautiful sunset from the terrace of your place of stay, gazing at the surroundings of the medina.
After breakfast, direction towards Sidi Kaouki: a Marabout for surfers and a vast beach in the wild. Sidi Kaouki is known as surf spot 25km south of Essaouira, it has one of the most beautiful beaches of the Atlantic. The guide will help you discover the mausoleum where the locals go there to make regular prayers to get rid of the hassle of everyday’s life and the surroundings present in the site. You will make your way back to essaouira which is 26 minutes away to enjoy a delicious traditional lunch. Later on the afternoon, you may go to the sea shore in order to relax while strolling by the beach, in a moment you will meet our driver who will take you to enjoy your stay in a quiet Riad/hotel for dinner and accommodation.
Breakfast is served, enjoy the rest of the day contemplating the area, and exploring your place of stay. Depending on your flight schedule, you may prepare your luggage, collecting all the fond souvenirs, and head to the airport. Come back next time, we’ll miss you!
